Keeping Motivated and Beating the Winter Blues

Winter in Michigan is a magical time... for about four weeks. The time between Thanksgiving and New Years is a beautiful winter wonderland for us Michiganders. It's the time where our mitten shaped state really shines! But then the holiday decorations disappear and the snow turns black. January is a gloomy time (despite of my January birthday). Daylight hours are starting to increase this time of year but in the last month Michigan has seen little to no actual sunshine further pushing us into post-holiday despair. I hard to stay motivated when all you really want to do is cuddle into a blanket with some tea and watch Netflix. But you have to pull yourself up by the fluffy socks and remember to stay focused on your goals and keep moving forward.

29 Before 30

I did it. I made it another year around the sun. Although society will tell you that 2016 was hell, I try and focus on the good that came this year. It's not overly obvious so I figured I'd share this tid bit of information!
